Ode to Tupac Katari is a memorial to the victims of state violence in the United States and Mexico. Through the use of a polished, etched steel plate, the viewer is implicated as complicit in these crimes. The text is meant as a reminder, and a memorial to victims who suffer under yokes placed there by the same hegemonic structures.
