Constructed as part of the University City Sculpture Series. Taking its title from the Robert Frost poem of the same name, Mending Wall is a 7-foot tall brick pillar highlighting the economic divides that exist in St. Louis. Using parallel one-way mirrors, the interior of the pillar is repeated over and over, creating the illusion of a wall in order to make an imagined boundary real. Mending Wall asks the viewer to consider what is being walled in, and who is being walled out.
